Mastering the Art
Our Riverside Spey Lessons specialize in close personal interaction between
instructor and student. There are lots of books, videos, and spey
claves across the Northwest but nothing can compare to a private lesson with
a quality instructor. Our Riverside Lessons are personal and
effective. Just give us an hour or two and we'll have you spey casting
with confidence!
Combine all this with our "Spey Scholarship" and there in no reason
not take a spey lesson from Red's! Simply take a lesson from us and if
you decide to purchase a spey rod from us at a later date we will simply
apply whatever you paid for your lesson directly toward the purchase price
of your new rod!
Need help with some of the more advanced techniques? No problem. Our
staff can help you with shooting line techniques, the snake roll, or give
you advice on handling heavy sink tips and big flies.
Need gear? No problem. As part of our Riverside Lesson we will
provide you with any all spey equipment that you need. This will give
you a chance to try a variety of rods and lines and choose the set up that
is right for you.

Lessons by the Hour
- Riverside Lesson:
$50 per hour, up to 2 people. Available by appointment almost any time. Includes any and all Spey
equipment. Hosted on the Yakima River and features both "river left and river right"
techniques.
- "Spey Scholarship" -
Take a spey lesson from Red's and receive a credit for the dollar amount of
your lesson that can be applied toward the purchase of a new spey rod!
