Overnight Creek Trips

Overnight Creek Trips

This trip will become a classic family and friend adventure at Red's over the next few years.

You will meet the outfitter and/or guide at a predetermined U.S. Forest Service Trailhead on the first morning.  Your gear will be packed onto a team of horses and then you will saddle up and ride into the creek gorge.

The outfitter will furnish and set up camp for you while make ready and go fishing.  All you will need is personal effects, a sleeping bag, and fishing gear.

After riding into the creek you have plenty of options.  You can fish, relax, go for a hike to one of the nearby peaks, or even read a book.  That evening you will enjoy a wonderful dinner cooked by the outfitter over the campfire with only a bit of laughter to break up the silence of the mountains.

The next morning you will awake to hot coffee and a healthy breakfast.  Spend the day fishing, hiking, reading, or just simply kick back and ponder the surroundings.   After lunch in the early afternoon it will be time to saddle up and ride back to the trailhead.  Additional nights may be added to this adventure.

The Fishing

The creeks offer an abundance of small trout in the 6-8" range but it is not uncommon for us to land a handful of 12-14" trout during a good day of fishing.  You will be amazed how big an 8" fish can be when you are on a tiny creek, 10 miles from the nearest road, and are fishing with a 0 weight and a dry fly!

A Washington Freshwater Fishing License with Catch Record Card is required for this trip.

Testimonials

"This is one of our best offerings at Red's and we are so proud to be offering a getaway that combines a TRUE wilderness experience with fly fishing.  I am fortunate enough to have fished a lot of places but this is one adventure that I look forward to every summer.  It's not about the size of the fish, it's about where they live!"
