Lake Day Trips
This is the most popular trip. It combines a great day of horseback
riding through Old Growth forests in the mountains with 4 hours of fishing
at a scenic high mountain lake.
You will meet the outfitter and/or guide in the morning at the U.S. Forest
Service Trailhead and ride into the lake that is producing the best fishing.
The ride is part of the adventure and you often see deer, elk, or even a
bear while riding into these lakes.
In the afternoon it will be time to saddle up head back down to the
trailhead for some more horseback riding!

The Fishing
The lakes
typically provide shore access and wade fishing opportunities but the best
strategy is to bring a lightweight
float tube.
There are trout up to 16" in the lakes but your average trout will
likely be around 10-12". Great fun with a light fly rod, dry flies,
and beautiful surroundings!
A Washington Freshwater Fishing License with Catch Record Card is required for this trip.
Testimonials
"This is one of our best offerings at Red's and we are so proud to
be offering a getaway that combines a TRUE wilderness experience
with fly fishing. I am fortunate enough to have fished a lot
of places but this is one adventure that I look forward to every
summer. It's not about the size of the fish, it's about where
they live!"
