Quality Instruction
The most important part of being a good fly shop and guide service is being
able to teach, instruct, and share our knowledge in a positive, fun, and
engaging format. It is important to us that we give back and help
anglers grow their skill physically and mentally, and not just progress in the
amount of gear they accumulate! We are fortunate to have a staff in
place that helps us offer the best package of clinics and classes anywhere,
sometimes at very little cost. Our goal is to "share the passion"!
The RFS Fly Fishing School program is something we have put a lot of time and
heart into planning and it offers a diverse selection of offerings that are
sure to accommodate the needs of any angler. Whether you are interested
in multi-day Deluxe Fly Fishing and Lodging package, or Spey Casting,
or advanced fly casting; there is something for everyone and you will benefit from the
care and expertise of the Red's Staff. You are in good hands the RFS
team!

About the
Courses
The RFS Fly Fishing School offers the most unique, diverse,
and beneficial selection of classes, clinics, and courses in Washington
State, if not the entire country. This lineup is sure to accommodate
the learning desires of any fly angler. Whether you are someone on the
hunt for a relaxing and refreshing outdoor hoppy or a novice fly angler
wishing to "test drive" fly fishing to actually experience what all the
excitement is about, we have an Introduction to Fly Fishing class that is
second to none! For the experienced anglers seeking "that next step"
in fly fishing: getting the inside "guide's tips" and advanced strategies
for pursuing trophy fish, learning to cast with spey rods, or maybe you want
to learn how to plan a DIY (do it yourself) Steelhead trip on the Methow,
Wenatchee, Klickitat, or Grande Ronde Rivers - we've got you covered there
too! You can also learn to row a drift boat, fish Smallmouth, head off
to some desolate Mountain Streams all while combining your course with a
relaxing night at Canyon River Ranch which is located on the Yakima River
next to Red's. Fact is, Red's RFS School offers a fun learning fly
fishing adventure for everyone and anyone. To keep the quality of
instruction high and our attention very personal, we keep class sizes small
typically less than 10 students per class. With Red's, you can have
great confidence in the expertise, knowledge, professionalism, and friendly
personality of our instructors.
We invite you to check out our calendar of courses. There is something
for everyone and since most classes are only $59, it is the most affordable
fly fishing adventure out there!
